Eric Doyle / Swift Current Broncos WHL
D-R / 6-2.5, 180 / 05-Apr-1990
Skating: 65 / Skill: 60 / Sense: 35 / Compete: 40 / Tough: 25
Strengths: Good size and can skate. Lots of puck skill and a big shot. Improved decisions at both ends this season.
Weaknesses: Still does not think the game terribly well. Somewhat soft.
Back on my list again this year. Mystified how he went from being a Top Prospects Game participant to completely passed over last year. Good puck rushing ability, but still doesn't turn those rushes into scoring chances. Good shot from the point. Does not get involved much physically. Improved positioning in defensive zone.
Summary: I know he's a bit soft and has questionable hockey sense, but the size, skating, and hands are worth a late round gamble - again.
Target/Want: Surely worth at least a 6th or 7th round pick.
