Portland Winterhawks 2010 Eligibles

Ryan Johansen / C: Full profile

Nino Niederreiter / RW: Full profile

Troy Rutkowski / D: Full profile

Taylor Aronson / D: Full profile

Riley Boychuk / LW('91): He's a second year eligible, but having missed almost his entire 16 year old season with dual hip surgery, you have to give this guy some slack. Huge winger plays a rugged game and has some decent hands in close. Excellent fighter also. Skating needs work, but it did improve some this season. I'd really argue hard for grabbing this guy with a 6th/7th round pick and seeing where he is in two years.

Mac Carruth / G: There's a lot of raw talent and quickness here, but he really struggled to adjust to major junior and didn't play with much confidence. Technically raw. Doesn't have great footwork or angles. Wouldn't be a draft for me, but I could see some team liking the size and raw quickness enough to extend a camp invite.

Other 2010s: Gasper Kopitar, Taylor Peters

2011 Outlook: Ty Rattie, Joe Morrow, Seth Swenson, Tyler Wotherspoon. Rattie's offensive wizardry started to come around in the second half and is a top 50 talent as of now. Morrow isn't far behind (2nd or 3rd round) and brings a huge point shot and some puck moving ability.
